About

My name is Joshua Thomas, and if you’re reading this, you probably don’t know who I am (and that’s okay!). I am 28 year old with a heartbeat for helping people discover their purpose and a passion for reaching the next generation. I recently received my Masters of Divinity Degree in Church Ministry and Church Leadership from Liberty University with an undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from UNCG. I currently serve as the Student and Young Adult Director at Hope Church in Burlington, North Carolina.

I started this little blog a while back as a way to express what God has been teaching me in a practical and real world way. I never liked boring writers or speakers, so I wanted to write from my personal experiences and mix it with an easy to understand format. The same is true today. Each week I tackle a topic that God has been teaching me and I share it. I’m a book/movie/TV/comic lover who happens to know a lot about art, and hip-hop/Ska/punk music. Because of my weirdo tastes, I like to incorporate these elements with topics that affect us and can often be very difficult to understand.

So, search around a bit! I have a wide range of posts over the years and I’d love for you to check it out!

Be sure to peruse the links on my site:

  • Books I’m Reading: Here you’ll find books I currently am reading as well as some recommendations if you enjoy learning more.
  • FAQ: If you want to know more about me in a fun self interview I did, check it out here. It’ll be worth your time if I do say so myself.
  • Support: I don’t get paid to write this blog, and I like being able to have it be free each week, but I also could use support. On this you can go to my Patreon if you want to support me financially, but it is also a way to support me with prayer.

I hope you enjoy my little corner of the internet, and remember that the best way to help out is to share posts with your friends!

  3. Hey Josh!
Your blog is so unique! I just learned cool research on how productive Pinterest is for attracting blog readers, so if you come up with a “book cover” type of image for a pin each week and just plop it on Pinterest people may be able to find you easily! Cool way to get into hearts for the Gospel! Thanks for faithfully writing!
